Welcome to our website, Blomidon Vacation Rentals.

My husband Bill, has lived in Blomidon all his life, and our home is situation on land which has been in his family for 3 generations. Bill and I both grew up in the local area, and attended Acadia University in Wolfville, NS. Bill graduated with a Business Degree and I took a degree in Arts and Educaton with a mix of Business courses taken after graduating. Bill and I got married in 1987 and I was thrilled to move to this beautiful location. We have 3 adult children, and have sold the building supply business that we both worked in, and are looking to do something different with our lives. We have travelled somewhat to the Carribean, across Canada, Cuba, and Mexico but have always felt so glad and fortunate to come back home and enjoy the surroundings we have here. Over the years we have heard so many people say "What a beautiful view you have", "What a gorgeous place to live" that we decided maybe we could share it with others by renting to vacationers who would like to experience this part of the world.

Our 20 acre piece of property has wonderful views of Cape Blomidon and the Minas Basin. The land is on the shoreline so we have direct access to the beach. We have a log home which Bill built mostly himself, and an in-ground pool with a greenhouse over it. With the cool winds in the evening which we get all summer long, this helps to make the pool usable for a longer season and for more hours during the day.

This past year we decided to turn the upstairs of our garage into a guest loft for vacationers. This had been a large open space previously used by our kids as an area to shoot hockey pucks, play pingpong, party with their friends or just as a place to hang out. Since they have headed off to university the space was not being used, so we decided to reclaim it.

We also have a 5th wheel camper trailor which we bought to travel around Nova Scotia, but for the times we are not using it, felt this could also be available for others to use.
